Changing into your golf shoes in the car park is permitted.
The Pro shop is open for check in as well as take away drinks and snacks. Members may also top there cards up.

Clubhouse

We have outlined below steps we have taken along with steps we will be enforcing in the coming days to help prevent the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus to ensure the health and well-being of all.

Cash transactions are to be avoided and card payments are encouraged. This includes your members bar card for use to purchase food, drink items or pre-paid green fees.
The locker rooms are open for you to collect any necessary items from your locker however we advise you to arrive in your golf wear and change your shoes in the car park.
All seating in and around the club has been removed.
The showers are closed for sanitary purposes however the toilets and sinks remain open and all soap in the clubhouse is 80% anti-bacterial. We encourage you to wash your hands for 20 seconds when you first arrive in the clubhouse.
The staff have been extremely vigilant when it comes to cleaning all door handles in and around the clubhouse as well as card machines. Doors will be propped open to avoid touching handles so please try to remember to leave them open.
You may have already noticed posters around the clubhouse entrances with hygiene guidance from the NHS to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. If you find yourself in the clubhouse, please take a minute to read them and put them into practice.

We understand that not being able to enter the clubhouse unless necessary is an inconvenience, but we urge you to please comply and help protect our staff and your fellow members.

On course

All matches and competitions of every kind will cease from Monday 23rd March
All times allocated for different sections within the club will cease and the course be open to all for general play based on your playing rights.

On the course, golfers should try to maintain a minimum distance of two metres between themselves and playing partners. Take care to adhere to this on teeing grounds and greens.
Golfers should consider playing in smaller groups – i.e. two balls – to adhere with social distancing.
Common courtesies such as handshakes and embraces in accordance with the accepted etiquette of the game are to be avoided. Offering a thumbs up or some other form of friendly greeting should be used as an alternative.
The greenkeepers have removed all rakes from the bunkers and pins from the putting green and golfers should always leave the flagstick in the hole – this is to limit the risk of infection spreading from hand to hand. Please note, bunkers are GUR.
Ball washers on the tees have been removed, benches on the course are being removed tomorrow and shoe cleaners and the air pressers are not to be used as the virus can be transmitted through the buttons and handles.
All fountains on the course have been turned off – drinks can be purchased from the pro shop.
The range will be closed for the foreseeable future.
Golfers should only pick up their ball and refrain from touching another person’s golfing equipment.
Buggies will be available but for single use only. Every buggy will be sanitized before and after use.

Pro shop

The touchscreen for entry or recording scores has been turned off. From Monday there will be no competitions and it will be friendly golf only – please keep your own scorecard and do not hand it to another player or the pro shop.
Hiring of pull/electric trollies and buggies are still allowed and are sanitized before and after use. Buggies are limited to one rider per buggy.

Please do not congregate in the pro shop.
